C/BaseX is Conetic's new high level development library. Designed for speed, C/BaseX delivers a direct connection to C/Base™4GL data files. This powerful, network enable library makes childs play out of creating client/server applications.Unlike ODBC products, C/BaseX has no intermediate layers - which result in an increase of performance. C/BaseX was designed by placing a wrapper around the standard C/Base Utilities (C API). In short, C/BaseX contains all the same functionality of C/Base Utilities and more.

Conetic policy to license our products by "concurrent number of users". C/BaseX is unique in that it's concurrent user count is separate from C/Base™4GL. Thus allowing programmers the ability to create cost effective, free standing products that can interact with the C/Base™4GL data server.
- Example: The server can be licensed for 15 C/Base 4GL and C/Books concurrent users; while the C/BaseX could be licensed for 100 users. Allowing 15 concurrents users for the C/Base and C/Books applications; and 100 concurrent users using the C/BaseX.
